Cocktail of the Week – TRUST ME

TheCocktailStory of TRUST ME by Tobias Carvalho

The name of the cocktail, Trust Me, is inspired by an Indian American movie called Today’s Special which is about a young chef who has to leave his job at a Michelin star restaurant and work for his father in a small Indian restaurant in the heart of New York. Unaware about anything related to Indian food he hires a taxi driver to become his executive chef. The first menu they create there is a board outside his restaurant that says – Today’s special Trust me!!

Based out of this marvellous incident in a movie, Tobais created this cocktail with Jameson, Pineapple, Honey and Lemon. The easiest possible ingredients available behind any bar in the world.

To add more impact on the inspirational story behind TRUST ME, he asked his friends all across the globe to make this cocktail at their bars.

All he said was,” Trust Me, guys you can create it”. TRUST ME was made in bars across FOUR CONTINENTS which made him a winner at that the Jameson Barrelman homecoming cocktail competition and visit Ireland.
